WARNING

Social Services

the F-word, twice

Falling to an F in two subjects triggers a warning letter. One more F after that, and social services remove the child from the household.

A message from the social services regarding your child, they have issues at school and their grades are starting to suffer. As you know, school is very important. Please rectify the situation, if they get another F, we will have to step in. Thank you.

If grades keep falling

“They're doing so badly in school, they need to be moved to a different environment...” — Related life goal objective: “Have at least one child with an average grade of B or more”

School FAQ

Frequently asked questions

  • At what age do Parafolk go to school?
Children and pre-teens attend Elementary School (Mon-Fri, 09:00-14:00). Teens attend High School (Mon-Fri, 09:00-15:00). Babies and toddlers stay home and are sent to daycare when left alone.
  • How do grades work in Paralives?
Each subject is graded F, E, D, C, B, A. Every subject starts at C. Completing homework raises the grade in that subject; failing to keep up lowers it. One life goal asks for a child with an average grade of B or better.
  • How does homework work?
Elementary students get a homework assignment every school day, and each assignment takes up to 3 in-game days before it expires. Three student perks each add +30%: more frequent homework, a second daily assignment, or finishing homework during school hours.
  • What happens if my child gets bad grades?
An F in two subjects triggers a School Warning letter from social services. If the child earns another F after the warning, they are taken away from the household. Keeping every subject at D or better avoids the letter entirely.
