Goals FAQ

How many goals are in Paralives?

Paralives has 59 goals: 30 life goals organized into 7 skill trees (Romance, Friendship, Guitar, Fitness, Breadwinner, Big House, and Family, six of which branch) plus 2 tutorial goals and a Town Contributor goal, and 29 community requests given by NPCs. Each goal has between 1 and 5 objectives to complete.

How do branching life goal trees work in Paralives?

Life goals form progression trees where completing a root goal unlocks the next tier. Six of the seven trees include branching paths at tier 2 or 3 - for example, the Romance tree splits into 'Finding Love' (commitment path leading to Happy Marriage or Let's Have a Baby) and 'Casa Nova' (multiple romantic interests). You pick which branch to pursue.

What are requests in Paralives?

Requests are community goals given by NPCs in Melino. They range from simple tasks like collecting 2 mushrooms or cooking 3 meals, to multi-step challenges like completing a painting commission (reach painting level 3 + paint 3 canvases). Some rare requests offer special rewards including money and relationship bonuses.

What rewards do you get for completing goals in Paralives?

Most life goals and requests share common reward groups. Some goals give specific rewards: the Collect Rare Items request grants $3,000 plus a friendship bonus, Guitar Buddies unlocks a special relationship label, and Gym Buddies does the same. Tutorial goals have their own dedicated reward pools.

Are there tutorial goals in Paralives?

Yes - two household-level tutorial goals auto-track when you start a new game: 'Discover the Town' (collect items, donate to museum, shop, make acquaintances) and 'Settle Home' (find a job, decorate, cook a meal). These introduce core gameplay mechanics.
