Paralives ships with over 2,000 build mode items split across 29 categories. The largest categories are Clutter, Decor, Shop, Surface, and Collectible. Items range from couches and lamps to tiny kitchen knick-knacks and museum-quality artefacts.

Every item in Paralives is placed through build mode and can be customised: many items have swatches for recolouring, hundreds are interactable (Parafolk can use them), and most support resizing within designer-defined limits. Items snap to walls, floors, or other surfaces based on placement rules in the catalog.

There are over 100 collectible items spread across paintings, gemstones, mushrooms, artefacts, and other categories. Collectibles are found through gameplay rather than purchased, and contribute to museum collections that unlock rewards once completed.

Collections are themed item lines that share a single name. Vecheli is the tableware line, Kicheni covers kitchen utensils, Modino is the modern couch family, Lio designs chimney parts. The names come from Paralives Patreon supporters. Mixing items from the same collection gives a build a consistent design language.
