The six-day week: what happens on each day
Six days, each with things the game allows on that day only: the PR Machine, battles, new people and looter orders, resurrection, town orders and Mass.
Mechanics
What each day does
Gluttony is the only day the PR Machine takes a load. A load of Charged hypno-devices, Newspapers or both raises the zombie limit by 10 to 80 for 1 to 5 weeks, depending on the program. The bigger programs need an upgraded machine: +10 for 1 week runs on PR Machine I, +80 for 5 weeks needs PR Machine V. The machine appears when Congregation Trouble is completed.

Sloth is battle day: most battles can only be started on Sloth; on other days the Keeper says "Battle available on Sloth" at their start point. Five battles start on any day: Break Through to the Port, Sewer Brawl I, Sewer Brawl II, Break Through to the Bathhouse Basement and the Sewerena. The Town's bell rings every Sloth morning and most of the Town's zombies withdraw to the town centre; a second bell that evening brings them back.

- Event
- Battles

Lust is the only day Linda's "New people" menu at the Dockside Club is open: the Green Scrolls the Town's houses produce are spent there to attract new people, which raises Town quality and the maximum Likes limit. It is also the only day Davy the Dagger takes looter orders at the Dockside Club, paid in Keys for Looters, once Wharf Rats is complete. At the very end of Lust the Resurrection Lab's power comes back for Envy. Two quest steps need Lust too: buying Portal fragment Lust from the Trademaster at the Main Pier for 1 gold in High Price, and starting Linda's concert in Concept for a Concert.
- Day of the week
- 3 of 6
- Event
- New people for Green Scrolls, looter orders
- Requires
- Green Scrolls for Linda, Keys for Looters for Davy the Dagger

- Unlocked when Linda is first asked about new people, during Safe Harbor
Envy is the only day the Resurrection Device in the Resurrection Lab works. One use raises a zombie on every prepared Resurrection Table at once and spends the lab's power until the very end of the next Lust; tried again that Envy, the Keeper says "There is not enough power for resurrection. Need to wait for the next Envy". While God of the storms lasts (a successful Prayer for Storms sermon; its timer starts at 90:00), the device works on any day and as often as needed. At the start of every Envy, once Heart of the Swamp is complete, a pile of 4 Blue Crystals appears by the Goddess statue; a new pile only comes after the last one is collected. Every Zombie Collar recipe needs a Blue Crystal.
- Day of the week
- 4 of 6
- Event
- Zombie resurrection
- Requires
- On each Resurrection Table: a corpse with all 6 vital organs, 1 Reanimation Liquid and a Zombie Collar good enough for the corpse
- Uses
- 1 per Envy, raising every prepared table; any number while God of the storms lasts
- Wheel centre picture
- Unlocked when the Resurrection Device is repaired
Pride is the only day town orders can be accepted at the Town's order board. At the start of every Pride the Town Warehouse is paid out: the goods in the crates of the Town Warehouse and the Warehouse Cellar count toward the accepted orders (an urgent order only when its full amount is there, a regular order adding to earlier weeks), then every item in the crates is sold at its base price and the money waits at the order board. Pride also resets the weekly cap on the Likes each Town trader gives for special goods.
- Day of the week
- 5 of 6
- Event
- Town orders, Warehouse payout, Likes caps
- Wheel centre picture
- Unlocked when Workshop Hours starts
Wrath is Mass day: one sermon can be held at the Church, on Wrath only; on other days the Keeper says "Ceremony available on Wrath" at the prayer stand. The first sermon, in Holy Moly!, can be held as soon as the Nun says the church is ready, whatever the day. The Nun's corpse deliveries are set on Wrath: only that day she can be asked for "No corpses", "A few corpses" or "Lots of corpses", and she keeps sending that amount until it is changed. At the end of Wrath a running PR Machine program counts down one week, and its last week ends it.
- Day of the week
- 6 of 6
- Event
- Mass
- Requires
- A written prayer and at least that prayer's minimum number of parishioners
- Sermons
- 1 per Wrath
- Wheel centre picture
- Unlocked when Holy Moly! is completed
How it works
A week in Graveyard Keeper 2 has six days. The game never writes a day's name: the day wheel and every message show a day as a glyph, and each glyph is the symbol carved on one of the portal fragments named Gluttony, Sloth, Lust, Envy, Pride and Wrath - the names used for the days here. The seventh fragment, Greed, has no day. Each day allows something no other day does: loading the PR Machine on Gluttony, most battles on Sloth, Linda's new people and looter orders on Lust, resurrection on Envy, accepting town orders on Pride and Mass on Wrath.
The wheel lights up today's and tomorrow's glyph. A story step unlocks each day's own picture for the centre of the wheel: Gluttony when Congregation Trouble is completed, Sloth on winning Break Through to the Port in First... Sludge?, Lust when Linda is first asked about new people during Safe Harbor, Envy when the Resurrection Device is repaired, Pride when Workshop Hours starts and Wrath when Holy Moly! is completed.

Calendar questions
What does the Keeper say on the wrong day?
At the PR Machine: "PR Machine available on Gluttony". At a battle's start point: "Battle available on Sloth". At the Resurrection Device: "Resurrection available on Envy"; on an Envy after its one use, "There is not enough power for resurrection. Need to wait for the next Envy". At the prayer stand: "Ceremony available on Wrath". The orders window always reads: "Orders can only be accepted on Pride. Orders cannot be accepted on other days."
Which battles can be started on any day?
Break Through to the Port (the first battle, in First... Sludge?), Sewer Brawl I, Sewer Brawl II, Break Through to the Bathhouse Basement and the Sewerena (The Sewer Arena). Every other battle can only be started on Sloth.
How often can zombies be resurrected?
Once per Envy: one use of the Resurrection Device raises a zombie on every prepared Resurrection Table and spends the power until the very end of the next Lust. While God of the storms lasts, the device works on any day and as often as needed.
What happens at the start of Pride?
The Town Warehouse is paid out: the goods in the crates of the Town Warehouse and the Warehouse Cellar count toward the accepted town orders, then everything in the crates is sold at its base price and the money waits at the order board. The Town traders' weekly Likes caps reset, and the order board takes orders until the day ends.
Which quest steps need a certain day?
Two, both on Lust: buying Portal fragment Lust from the Trademaster at the Main Pier for 1 gold in High Price, and starting Linda's concert at the Dockside Club in Concept for a Concert.
