The six-day week: what happens on each day: Sloth
Six days, each tied to its own event: the PR Machine, battles, new people and looter orders, resurrection, town orders and Mass.
Mechanics
What each day does
Sloth is battle day: most battles can only be started on Sloth; on other days the Keeper says "Battle available on Sloth" at their start point. Five battles start on any day: Break Through to the Port, Sewer Brawl I, Sewer Brawl II, Break Through to the Bathhouse Basement and Sewerena (The Sewer Arena). When Herbert hands over the red banner before the first battle, battles open on any day until the end of the next Sloth.

How it works
A week in Graveyard Keeper 2 has six days. The game never writes a day's name: the day wheel and every message show a day as a glyph, and each glyph is the symbol carved on one of the portal fragments named Gluttony, Sloth, Lust, Envy, Pride and Wrath - the names used for the days here. The seventh fragment, Greed, has no day. Each day has its own event: loading the PR Machine on Gluttony, most battles on Sloth, Linda's new people and looter orders on Lust, resurrection on Envy, accepting town orders on Pride and Mass on Wrath.
The wheel lights up today's and tomorrow's glyph. A story step unlocks each day's own picture for the centre of the wheel: Gluttony when Congregation Trouble is completed, Sloth on winning Break Through to the Port in First... Sludge?, Lust the first time Linda is asked "New people?" (possible from Safe Harbor on), Envy when the Resurrection device is repaired, Pride when Workshop Hours starts and Wrath when Holy Moly! is completed.
Each day's event and where it happens
| Day | Event | Where | Only on this day |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gluttony | A PR Machine load raises the zombie limit | PR Machine | Yes |
| Sloth | Battles | Each battle's start point | Yes, with the exceptions listed under Sloth |
| Lust | Green Scrolls to Linda for new people, looter orders with Davy the Dagger | Dockside Club | Yes |
| Envy | One use of the Resurrection device raises every prepared Resurrection Table | Resurrection Lab | Yes, or any day while God of the storms lasts |
| Pride | Town orders accepted, the Warehouse crates paid out, traders' Likes caps reset | Order board, Town Warehouse | Yes, except from the first visit to the order board until the end of the next Pride |
| Wrath | Mass: one sermon | Church | Yes, except the first sermon in Holy Moly! |
Calendar questions
What does the Keeper say on the wrong day?
At the PR Machine: "PR Machine available on Gluttony". At a battle's start point: "Battle available on Sloth". At the Resurrection device: "Resurrection available on Envy"; on an Envy after its one use, the Keeper says there is not enough power until the next Envy. At the prayer stand: "Ceremony available on Wrath". The orders window always states that orders can only be accepted on Pride.
Which battles can be started on any day?
Break Through to the Port (the first battle, in First... Sludge?), Sewer Brawl I, Sewer Brawl II, Break Through to the Bathhouse Basement and Sewerena (The Sewer Arena). Every other battle can only be started on Sloth, apart from the time between Herbert handing over the red banner before the first battle and the end of the next Sloth.
How often can zombies be resurrected?
Once per Envy: one use of the Resurrection device raises a zombie on every prepared Resurrection Table and spends the power until the very end of the next Lust. While God of the storms lasts, the device works on any day and as often as needed.
What happens at the start of Pride?
The Town Warehouse is paid out: goods still in the crates of the Town Warehouse and the Warehouse Cellar go to the accepted town orders, then everything left is sold at its base price and the money waits at the order board. Repeatable orders finished since the last Pride can be accepted again, the weekly Likes caps of all traders reset, and the order board takes orders until the day ends.
Which quest steps need a certain day?
Two, both on Lust: buying Portal fragment Lust from the Trademaster at the Main Pier for 1 gold in High Price, and starting Linda's concert at the Dockside Club in Concept for a Concert.
