Reputation
How reputation with Gunter, Herbert, Albert, Linda, Jack and the Nun and with the village rises, and what each value opens.
Gunter, Herbert, Albert, Linda, Jack and the Nun each keep a reputation with the Keeper. Only quests raise it: every quest step that pays reputation adds 10, and nothing in the game lowers it. Their quests give 90 before the last requests of the ending; the last 10 come only if you keep the Red Eye.

A technology behind a reputation gate opens once that reputation is reached and the technologies before it are researched. Linda also takes Green Scrolls at the Dockside Club: her first offers open at 10, 10, 20 and 30 reputation with her, and from 40 she takes any number.
Village reputation
Village reputation rises when a Town shop is built or upgraded (+2 for Tier I, +2 or +3 for Tier II, +3 for Tier III) and with 3 quests: Dungeons and... that's it, probably. (+5), Planted and Delivered (+5) and Two Peas in a Pod (+5). All of it together is 101. It is shown with your save and on the village people's portraits; no quest, technology or trader waits for a value of it.
Likes are not reputation
Likes, the thumbs-up, are the Town's currency for sermons: Town orders, goods with the Likes label sold to traders and Town Gratitude pay them, and every sermon spends them.
Reputation questions
How do I get from 90 to 100 reputation?
Keep the Red Eye. Then Gluttony and Pride, Wrath and Sloth and Lust and Envy each add requests for their two characters that pay the last +10. If you gave the Red Eye back, the quests stop at 90 and the ending asks for 90.
Can reputation go down?
No. Nothing in the game takes reputation away.
Does anything besides quests raise it?
No. Only quest steps add reputation with Gunter, Herbert, Albert, Linda, Jack and the Nun.
