Stage featuresWhat the map adds to the fight

  • Acaroth Catapult

Stone Throw: Use the catapult to throw stones at enemies. Costs 50 gold per stone, 100-150 explosive damage within a radius of 80. The catapult stands on the inner wall and is lost when Gor'Thok breaks it in wave 15.

  • Templar swordsmen

In Campaign and Classic Rush, 2 seconds after Gor'Thok's cart explodes, 3 Templar swordsmen march out along his path. Each has 200 health and 25% armor and heals 6 health per second after 2 seconds without being hit. When all 3 have fallen, 3 more arrive 12 seconds later.

  • Templar swordsmen attacks

A Templar swordsman deals 8-16 physical damage every 1.5 seconds. Every 4 seconds it strikes for 16-32 physical damage and makes the target bleed for 4-5 true damage every 0.5 seconds, 6 times.

  • Templar archers

Templar archers on the fortress walls shoot enemies within a range of 320 for 4-8 physical damage every 4 seconds. They cannot be attacked or damaged.

  • Templar archers and the walls

In Campaign and Classic Rush the six archers on the outer wall fight until it falls at wave 5, then the three on the inner wall until Gor'Thok breaks it in wave 15. In the other modes both walls are down and no archers fight.

  • Goblin catapult

In waves 7, 11, 13 and 15 a goblin catapult rolls in. Tapping it 6 times before it stops destroys it; once it stops it launches 3 to 5 Goblins onto the path ahead (up to 6 in Spell Rush, Hero Party and Blitz Challenge).

  • Cloud of crows

In waves 8, 10, 12 and 15 a cloud of crows flies along the path. It cannot be targeted, and partway along the path it bursts into 3 or 4 Shadow Blades or Shadow Archers.

  • Ruined Tower

Fire bombs turn towers into a Ruined Tower that is out of action: in Campaign and Classic Rush two fall when wave 5 starts, then one every 90 to 120 seconds; in the other modes one every 90 to 120 seconds from wave 1. Restoring a tower costs 100 gold; otherwise it recovers after 45 seconds.

BriefingThe stage's story before the battle

The only entrance to the Mountain's underpass is inside the mighty Fortress of Acaroth where our Templar allies didn't hesitate to help us. There is no time to dawdle, though, lest our presence here attracts the attention of Vez'nan's forces and endanger the city.
