Overview
The Aberrant Otter is a small piscivore variant found in the Aberration biome. It is tamed passively and provides weight reduction for key resources when carried by certain flyers. Its primary utility comes from being transported by aerial mounts such as Argentavis or Karkinos to enable fast deployment in resource-rich zones.
It can be airlifted by Quetzal, Tapejara, and other carry-capable creatures for efficient long-distance travel and scouting in caves and fertile zones.

More about taming the Aberrant Otter
Kill a fish and drag the corpse up to the Otter, then press the use key while you are still holding it. It takes three species, and Sabertooth Salmon is worth about three and a half times a Piranha, so it is worth the swim. Size scales the value directly, so a bigger corpse counts for proportionally more, while the Otter's own level does not change what one fish gives: a higher level simply needs more of them.
Taming an Aberrant Otter uses the passive method, requiring no knockout or traps. Feed it Raw Mutton for the fastest results, with Cooked Lamb Chop as a viable alternative. Raw Prime Fish Meat also works but is significantly slower.
The process takes about 9 minutes with Raw Mutton at level 150 on official rates. No narcotics are needed. Use the calculator below for your settings.

It is highly resistant to Mining Drill Harvest, taking -100% damage, and also weak to Melee DmgMetal RaidDino (+55%) and Explosion Demolition (+50%).
