Your loyal dog companion joins you from the start. Unlock new abilities at the Companion Researcher station, change their appearance at the Dog Hotel, and send them on resource runs across the map.

How to Unlock Companion Upgrades

To upgrade your companion, you need the Companion Researcher station on your vehicle. Download Companion Training from a signal tower in Pacific Coast (Pool 2 Researchers) to unlock it. Then research upgrades at the station and craft them at your workbench.

Command Upgrades

Teach your companion new commands. Each upgrade builds on the previous one, unlocking more advanced resource-gathering automation.

  • Return to Vehicle

    Your companion returns to your vehicle and offloads its pouch into the vehicle storage.

  • Better Whistle (Fetch)

    Direct your companion to positions or objects. When directed to an object, your companion picks it up and stores it in their pouch.

  • Search Whistle

    Your companion keeps searching the area for a specific resource you direct it to find.

Increase your companion's carrying capacity so they can haul more resources per trip.

The Dog Hotel is a point of interest in Pacific Coast where you can change your companion's skin for free. All 6 appearances are available without any unlock requirements.
