Overview
Carbonemys is a large herbivore that serves as a soaker in ARK: Survival Ascended. It reduces the weight of gathered resources in its inventory, making it highly efficient for long foraging trips. Players tame it to maximize cargo efficiency while gathering Berries, Fiber, and Wood. It can be airlifted by Quetzal or Tusoteuthis for fast deployment.
The Carbonemys excels at passive resource collection and is often used in automated farming or node runs.

More about taming the Carbonemys
Carbonemys must be knocked out before taming. Use a Chain Bola or trap it in a Bear Trap or Large Bear Trap to immobilize it. Tranq Arrows from a Bow or Crossbow work well for sedation. Feed it Regular Kibble for the fastest taming. About 16 kibble are needed. The process takes around 20 minutes with no Narcotics required. Use the calculator below for your settings.

Combat notes
Carbonemys has a +120% vulnerability to Instant HurtDinos, making it highly susceptible to certain environmental hazards. It takes +100% more damage from spike walls, making those highly effective in defense. It is highly resistant to fire, taking -60% damage from fire-based attacks.
Carbonemys has zone-specific damage multipliers. The head takes 1× damage, the body takes only 0.2×, and the tail takes 0.5×. Aim for the head when trying to knock it out efficiently.
Carbonemys can break Thatch structures. Build at least in Wood to resist its damage.
