More about taming the Alpha Palaeoctopus

Taming an Alpha Palaeoctopus requires knockout via tranquilizers. The most effective food is Black Pearl, which provides the highest affinity. Raw Mutton also works but is significantly slower. Use a Bow, Crossbow, or Compound Bow with Tranq Arrows to sedate it. Immobilize it first with a Chain Bola for safety. The tame takes about 38 minutes with 84 Black Pearls at level 180.
