The Summer Drakeling is a small flyer tamed as a shoulder pet. It provides a unique passive ability that activates while perched, rewarding players for engaging in survival activities. Feeding requires the current experience requirement to be met. Each successful feed changes the required experience type and resets experience progress. During waking taming, progress decreases after inactivity while the Drakeling is unmounted.
Taming a Summer Drakeling uses the special passive method. Light a torch and hold it out; the Drakeling will land on your shoulder. While perched, perform actions like crafting, harvesting, or killing creatures to fill the taming bar. No narcotics are needed. Use the calculator below for your settings.

Combat notes
Summer Drakeling has a +120% weakness to Instant HurtDinos, making it extremely vulnerable to dino-based attacks. It is also weak to explosions and melee weapons with metal components. It is highly resistant to mining drills, spike walls, and ranged turrets. Level Health and Melee Damage to improve survivability in combat.
The head has a damage multiplier of 3x, making headshots highly effective for faster knockout. Target the head when immobilizing the Summer Drakeling.
Can damage Thatch structures. Build at least in Wood to resist its attacks.
