Armor Smithing

Armor Smithing

This guide shows everything you need to make the top armour sets: Mithril, Elven Gold and DuskKnight. Each set starts with one total list of everything to gather, then breaks it down piece by piece with the steps in order. Every amount, level and source on this page is worked out from the game data.

How to read this guide

1. Look at the Total gathering list for a set. It adds up everything for one of each piece in the set. 2. Then follow Step by step for each piece. The gathering steps come first, then the smelting, forging, buying and assembling steps in the order you do them. 3. The Needs column is the skill level you need for that step. 4. Each piece is counted on its own, so leftover parts from one piece are not used for another. Where a craft makes more than one part, the step says how many crafts to do.

The three sets are listed from easiest to hardest. Anything marked Y in the Members column is for members only.

Mithril set

Mithril Helmet, Mithril Platebody and Mithril Platelegs. The platebody and platelegs each need a cloth line bought from the Tailor Stall in Valen Gate. The cloth for it drops from Elves.

In a Dwarven Furnace, Mithril Ore smelts into a bar on its own with no Coal. The tables above use the normal Furnace. The Dwarven Furnace guide explains how to use it.

Elven Gold set

Elven Gold Helmet, Elven Gold Platebody, Elven Gold Tassets and Elven Gold Boots. You need the Elven Gold Schematics in your inventory when you assemble each piece. You only need 1, because they are not used up. Every piece also uses Essence, and the platebody, tassets and boots each need a cloth line from the Tailor Stall.

Gold Dust can be smelted instead of Gold Ore, at the same amount. See the Mining guide for where to find both.

DuskKnight set

DuskKnight Helmet, DuskKnight Platebody, DuskKnight Platelegs and DuskKnight Boots. You need the Dusk Knight Schematics in your inventory for every forging and assembling step. You only need 1, because they are not used up. The platebody, platelegs and boots each need an Exquisite Silk line from the Tailor Stall, and the silk drops from Crimson Weavers.

Ebony Bars can only be smelted in the Dwarven Furnace, and Ebony Dust can be smelted instead of Ebony Ore at the same amount. The Dwarven Furnace guide explains how its heat works. These are the amounts the game data adds up to, and the Ebony Ore total is very large.

Tips

The cloth and silk lines are bought at the Tailor Stall in Valen Gate. You hand over the Elven Cloth or Exquisite Silk plus some Coins, so keep the Coins in your inventory as well.

The Elven Gold Schematics are found in the Elven Chest. The Dusk Knight Schematics are given by the Valen City blacksmith in conversation. What you need to do before the blacksmith gives them to you is not confirmed yet. See the Smithing guide for the latest.

A hammer is needed to use the anvil. The Smithing guide has the hammers, gloves and gems that make crafting faster.
