How it plays

Every shot is a statement about your skill level. The Long Ranger has the lowest DPS of any primary, but it has piercing rounds and a built-in scope, so the player who actually aims gets far more out of it than the numbers suggest.

Strategy

Find cover, breathe out, and commit to the scope. Weakspot hits are the whole point. A body-shot Long Ranger is just a slow, sad rifle. Stack Damage upgrades first. Mindshot and Focus Shot both reward the same disciplined playstyle once you unlock them.

Strengths

  • Piercing shots can chain through multiple aligned enemies · Scope helps land weakpoints at distances other weapons can't reach · High burst potential against a single target with good aim

Weaknesses

  • Lowest DPS among primaries, every miss hurts more than usual · Falls apart at close range without a capable sidearm · No AoE means wave-clearing depends entirely on piercing alignment
