Angler's Instinct nodes raise the fishing success rate: the chance of catching nothing becomes 1 - (1 - 50%) x (1 + bonus). With all of them (+60%) it is 20%. Swift Cast nodes shorten each cast by their percentage (together 50%, down to 50% of the time; never below 10%).

A cast is six steps, one after the other, and Swift Cast shortens every one of them. For offline characters, without Swift Cast a cast takes 13.7 to 19.7 seconds (16.7 on average); with all three every step takes x0.5: 6.85 to 9.85 seconds. The catch is rolled after the bite.
