Found throughout the ARKs, the Rex is a tamable, carnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. Classified under the DMG group. With 1,100 base Health, the Rex is quite durable. With 100% base Melee Damage, the Rex has solid damage output. Stamina sits at 420 base, providing solid stamina reserves. Weight capacity starts at 500, giving it massive inventory space. Taming the Rex requires rendering it unconscious first - use Tranq Arrows, Darts, or Shocking Tranq Darts to apply torpor. Feed it Exceptional Kibble for the fastest tame and highest effectiveness bonus. After taming, the Rex is valued for its harvesting efficiency, collecting key resources faster than most tools. It reproduces by laying eggs, which must be incubated between 32°C and 34°C. Defeating one in the wild grants 30 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.87 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
