More about taming the Ravager
The results below show total taming time, effectiveness, and bonus levels for the Ravager at your selected level and food. Higher-quality foods yield more bonus levels.
The table below shows how many hits from each torpor weapon are needed to knock out the Ravager at different levels. Always pace your shots. Torpor takes time to apply, and over-shooting can be lethal.
To simplify the knockout, immobilize the Ravager first with Bola or Bear Trap. A Argentavis can also pick it up and drop it into a taming pen for a controlled knockout.
Below are the narcotic requirements for keeping the Ravager sedated throughout taming. Bio Toxin is twice as potent as Narcotics (80 vs 40 Torpor per use), while Narcoberries work in a pinch at just 7.5 Torpor each. With Torpor draining at 0.3/s, don't wait until the bar is nearly empty to apply narcotics.
Use the torpor and starve timers to track your Ravager tame in real time. Torpor monitoring prevents premature wakeups. The starve timer is for the starve-tame method - let Food drop, then load all kibble at once to avoid waste.
The Ravager is a tamable, carnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. It belongs to the Climber category.
With 400 base Health, the Ravager is reasonably durable. Melee starts at 100% - respectable melee power that scales with level-ups. Its base Stamina of 350 gives it good endurance. Weight capacity starts at 500, giving it an enormous weight pool.
The Ravager is a knockout tame: apply enough torpor to knock it out, then place food in its inventory. Feed it Raw Mutton for the fastest tame and highest effectiveness bonus.
Once tamed, the Ravager is primarily used for resource harvesting, excelling at gathering specific materials. It gives live birth after a gestation period, making breeding straightforward. Defeating one in the wild grants 6 base XP. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.25 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
