How this tame works

  1. The moment the swarm is gone the progress runs backwards at the same speed, so losing the fish is worse than never starting.
  2. Progress runs at the swarm's health, so the swarm is what you protect. The fish circling it are the threat: they bite the swarm every few seconds and respawn, and clearing them is the job.

More about taming the Megachelon

The Megachelon, a tamable, omnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended, is well-known across multiple maps. It falls within the Soaker classification.

With 1,920 base Health, the Megachelon is among the tougher creatures. With 100% base Melee Damage, the Megachelon has respectable melee power. Stamina sits at 100 base, providing low stamina reserves. Weight capacity starts at 2500, giving it massive inventory space.

As a tame, the Megachelon combines solid harvesting capability with generous carrying capacity. It reproduces by laying eggs, which must be incubated between -75°C and 75°C. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.74 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
