Bio Toxin is twice as potent as Narcotics (80 vs 40 Torpor per use), while Narcoberries work in a pinch at just 7.5 Torpor each. With Torpor draining at 0.3/s, don't wait until the bar is nearly empty to apply narcotics.
Use the torpor and starve timers to track your Grand Tortugar tame in real time. Starve taming is recommended for valuable high-level Grand Tortugar: let the Food stat deplete first, then add food. This way nothing is wasted if something goes wrong.

Its base Melee Damage sits at 100%, giving it respectable melee power. Health-wise, the Grand Tortugar sits at 1,050 base, making it solidly tanky. With 260 base Stamina, the Grand Tortugar has moderate endurance. Weight capacity starts at 2250, giving it excellent carrying capacity.
To tame the Grand Tortugar, you need to knock it unconscious using torpor weapons, then feed it while it's down. Feed it Giant Bee Honey for the fastest tame and highest effectiveness bonus.
Once tamed, the Grand Tortugar pulls double duty as both a capable resource harvester and pack animal. Breeding produces fertilized eggs that hatch within a 54°C–60°C temperature window. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.64 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
