Baby: The hatched dinosaur, now a baby, needs constant attention and food placed directly in its inventory to survive, or a nearby Maewing to take care of its needs.

During the Baby phase (0-10%), you must hand-feed or use a Maewing to nurse. From Juvenile (10%+), dinos can eat from a Feeding Trough on their own. Use Preserving Salt in troughs to double spoil times.

More about breeding the Electrophorus

After a successful mate, the Electrophorus lays a fertilized egg. Incubation temperature must stay between -75°C and 75°C - use Air Conditioners, Standing Torches, or Dimetrodons to maintain the range. At the correct temperature, the egg hatches in approximately 4 hours and 59 minutes.

Full maturation from baby to adult takes ~1 day and 22 hours (1x rate), progressing requiring significant patience. Hand-feeding is required until 10% maturation. After that, a Feeding Trough handles the rest.

Each baby inherits stats from both parents with a chance of mutation - +2 wild levels to a random stat plus a color change. Use the breeding calculator to plan food requirements, incubation timers, and maturation phases.

The Electrophorus's growth progresses through three stages: Baby (0–10%) lasts ~278 min and requires constant hand-feeding. Juvenile (10–50%) spans ~19h - it can eat from a Trough now. Adolescent (50–100%) takes ~23h - continues eating from troughs, nearly fully grown.

Imprint bonuses are significant: a fully imprinted Electrophorus gains 30% extra damage and damage resistance with its imprinter mounted. Imprint requests include cuddling, walks, and specific kibble - check the wiki for which kibble to stockpile.

The raising calculator above shows exactly how much food you need for each maturation phase of the Electrophorus. Budget ~278 minutes for the Baby phase - this is when hand-feeding or Maewing nursing is mandatory.

Raising multiple Electrophorus simultaneously? Set the dino count and the calculator scales food requirements automatically. Different food types have different spoil timers - factor that into which food you stockpile.

Found throughout the ARKs, the Electrophorus is a tamable, aquatic, carnivore creature in ARK: Survival Ascended. It belongs to the Water category.

Stamina sits at 165 base, providing average stamina. Dealing 100% base Melee Damage, the Electrophorus brings solid damage output to the table. Health-wise, the Electrophorus sits at 180 base, making it not particularly tanky. It carries 150 base Weight - average weight tolerance.

Taming the Electrophorus doesn't require unconsciousness. Instead, sneak up to it and hand-feed its preferred food. Its preferred food is Bio Toxin.

After taming, the Electrophorus provides safe and efficient underwater traversal with good utility. It reproduces by laying eggs, which must be incubated between -75°C and 75°C. A wild Electrophorus is worth 8 base experience when killed. It can be cloned at a Cloning Chamber for 0.13 Element plus 0.01 Element per level.
