The required level is the item level divided by 10, from 1 to 70. A drop of item level 300 or higher comes with 0 to 2 sockets at random. Ancient: 10% of its drops from level 70 enemies and chests and of Mystery items bought at player level 70 (9.98% where Black Mist comes first); twice the upgrade gold and sell price. Black Mist: 0.2% of those drops on Nightmare and Inferno and of those Mystery items once Nightmare is unlocked; requires level 70, never Ancient, tradable until its first reveal.
