Equipment Slots
A hero wears 12 items: Weapon, Helm, Chest Armor, Shoulder, Gloves, Belt, Pants, Boots, Necklace, two Rings and Back. The slot sets how many sockets an item can have, which bonus a gem in it gives and which boss material its +9 and +10 upgrades take.
Slots
| Slot | Items | Sockets |
|---|---|---|
| Weapon | 32 | 3 (Weapon) |
| Helm | 23 | 1 (Armor) |
| Chest Armor | 22 | 2 (Armor) |
| Shoulder | 19 | None |
| Gloves | 18 | None |
| Belt | 15 | None |
| Pants | 19 | 2 (Armor) |
| Boots | 15 | None |
| Necklace | 17 | 1 (Accessory) |
| Ring (2 slots) | 20 | 1 (Accessory) |
| Back | 9 | None |
Sockets: the most an item of the slot can have, and in brackets the bonus a gem in it gives.
Rare, Legendary and Divine items take it for the upgrade to +9 and again for +10, on top of the ores. Back items cannot be upgraded.
Two Rings
A Ring fits either Ring slot. A hero cannot wear two copies of the same Legendary or Divine ring, whatever their rolls: the game refuses the second one. Two different Legendary rings, or two copies of a Common, Uncommon or Rare ring, can be worn together. Every other item type has one slot.
The in-game message is "Can't equip two of the same legendary item"; it applies to rings only.
